Nashville

As part of our Christmas gift this year, Dale's mom took us girls and Tripp to Nashville to stay at Opryland this past week. The Opryland hotel was amazing and we had so much fun seeing the Christmas Spectacular (Rockettes) and Charlie Brown ICE. Thank you, Jane for a wonderful trip!

Eating breakfast at The Cascades in the hotel

Tripp loves whipped cream (gets that from his mommy :)

Taking a candy cane break (we did a lot of walking)

You can't tell from this picture, but the tree behind us was ginormous!

Tripp and Adeline riding the train (Tripp actually thought he was driving)

The Charlie Brown ICE exhibit was AMAZING!! Everything you see in these pictures is ice that has been carved by artists. We didn't get to stay in there for very long because it was FREEZING cold (I'm really thinking it was zero degrees). They gave us these (lovely) blue coats to wear, but I wish someone had told us to bring gloves and a hat. It was so cold it was unbearable and after about 15 min we started to get frost bite. It really was cool though! If you ever get a chance to go to an ICE exhibit, be sure to layer and take gloves.

This was a slide made of ice

The Nativity Scene at the end was beautiful and a great reminder of the TRUE reason for the season... Merry Christmas!
