I have to say that the STICKS Country Music Festival was a lot more fun than we had anticipated! The weather was beautiful, Parker Hill was the perfect location, there was a great turn out, the music was first-class (we didn't get to see everyone, but the ones we did see were great), the kids loved the day-time activities, and since we had media passes for the magazine, we had access to go pretty much anywhere we wanted and (most importantly) to the free food tent! :) It was a blast and we are already looking forward to next year!
We heard that attendance was 30,000+
There were lots of interesting things to do and people to see...
Dale thought this t-shirt was hilarious!
The sweet people at Chick-fil-A let us take a ride around in their golf cart (Tripp was riding in the front with Merrye Summers)
Diamond Rio - this was MY kind of Country Music (90's were the best)!
Merrye Summers, Laura, Lindsey, Tyler, me and George
Sara Evans was awesome!
Not only is she a talented musician with a beautiful voice, but she is also gorgeous, entertaining, polished and poised.
My sweet sis!
Trace Adkins ended the night with a great show. I'm not a huge fan of his music, but he was very entertaining! And I should mention that he is a HUGE man! We didn't get to stay until the end because our poor babysitter had been there for 5 hours so we needed to get home.
